Rep. Blum Receives Endorsement from NRA

DUBUQUE– The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed incumbent Rod Blum’s candidacy to continue representing the First District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Rep. Blum has earned an “A” rating for his votes and actions in Congress over the past four years. These actions include:

  • Voting for Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation to ensure those who are legally able to carry a concealed firearm in their home state are also able to do so in other states where concealed carry is also permitted.

  • Voting against a regulation from the Obama Administration that violated the Second Amendment rights of Social Security recipients.

  • Voting in favor of legislation to protect the Second Amendment rights of veterans in the United States.

Chairman of NRA-PVF Chris Cox added, “On behalf of our six million members across the country [we are] proud to endorse your candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. […] thank you for your steadfast support of the Second Amendment.”

Rep. Blum commented on the endorsement, “I am honored to be endorsed by the National Rifle Association. My constituents have made it very clear to me that their Second Amendment rights are not up for negotiation. As we examine solutions to prevent criminals from hurting our communities, I am committed to ensuring the rights of our citizens are protected.”
